The N.C. Department of Transportation proposes the
replacement of the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge and improvements to South Front Street in Wilmington.

The purpose of this meeting is to inform the public of the proposed projects and gather input on the proposed designs. The public can view project information at NCDOT's public input portals,

Public Comment
NCDOT representatives will be available to answer questions and receive comments. The comments and information received will be taken into consideration as work on the project develops.

Next Steps
After the comment period ends, the project team will meet to review the comments received and prepare a public comment summary, which will be posted on the project website.
NCDOT will meet with local government and agency partners to review public comments in conjunction with subsequent technical studies to select a preferred alternative. The preferred alternative will be presented to the public for comment at a public hearing, anticipated for summer 2025.
