​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​The N.C. Department of Transportation has awarded applicants to develop the initial nine locations in North Carolina through the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Program, or NEVI.

The award recipients were based on those applicants that presented the best proposal to build and operate electric vehicle charging stations.​
