The N.C. Division of Motor Vehicles issues specialty license plates that feature designs representing more than 100 causes and interest groups. Fees vary depending on the design an individual chooses and are in addition to standard vehicle registration fees.

Made in limited production runs and subject to availability, specialty plates may be ordered online, by downloading and mailing an order form or at any NCDMV license plate agency.
