Project Overview
Planning and development are underway to widen U.S. 64 from east of I-85 in Lexington to the Asheboro Bypass in Davidson and Randolph counties. Proposed work on the 19-mile corridor would tie in U.S. 64 to the existing I-85, N.C. 109 and the Asheboro Bypass interchanges. The proposed project would also replace the bridge over the Uwharrie River.
