​Planning and development are underway to upgrade 1.8 miles of 15th Street in Washington – from west of U.S. 17 Business (Carolina Avenue) heading east to U.S. 264.

​Improvements will increase safety and reduce traffic congestion.

Project Funding

This project is listed as Project U-5860 in the N.C. Department of Transportation's State Transportation Improvement Program and is funded for $16.2 million.
