The N.C. Department of Transportation proposes widening N.C. 42 to three lanes from East Salisbury Street (S.R. 2237) to North of U.S. 64/N.C. 49 (Dixie Drive) in Asheboro. The purpose of this project is to improve traffic operations at the N.C. 42 and East Salisbury Street intersection and along the N.C. 42 corridor.

The purpose of this meeting is to inform the public of the project and gather input on the proposed design.
The public may attend at any time during the public meeting hours, as no formal presentation will be made. NCDOT representatives will be available to answer questions and receive comments. The comments and information received will be taken into consideration as work on the project develops.
