The N.C. Department of Transportation proposes improvements to approximately 13 miles of the CSX Railroad SE Line (the “Beltline”) including tie and rail rehabilitation, curve realignments, and upgraded switch operations. Improvements to existing highway grade crossings also include selected closures, signal upgrades, and crossing surface improvements from CSX Davis Yard in Navassa to South Second Street in Wilmington, Brunswick and New Hanover counties.

The purpose of this meeting is to inform the public of the project and gather input on the proposed design. *Another public meeting will take place on Monday, Feb. 24, at the St. Andrews-Covenant Presbyterian Church.
The public may attend at any time during the public meeting hours, as no formal presentation will be made.
Public Comment
NCDOT representatives will be available to answer questions and receive comments. The comments and information received will be taken into consideration as work on the project develops.
The opportunity to submit written comments will be provided at the meeting or can be submitted via phone, email or at NCDOT's public input portal by Mar. 10, 2020.
