Proposed Construction of New Charlotte Passenger Rail Facility

The N.C. Department of Transportation proposes to construct a new passenger rail facility southwest of uptown Charlotte to support the growth of intercity passenger rail service and the new Charlotte Gateway Station in Mecklenburg County. ​

A public meeting is scheduled for:

Monday, March. 25, 2024
5-7 p.m.
Pritchard at South End Church
1117 S. Boulevard
Charlotte

The purpose of this meeting is to inform the public of the proposed project and gather input on the proposed design. The public can view project information at NCDOT's project webpage​​​.​

Public Comment

NCDOT representatives will be available to answer questions and receive comments. The comments and information received will be taken into consideration as work on the project develops.
