WAKE FOREST – Contractors for the N.C. Department of Transportation will close a section of Ligon Mill Road so traffic can be switched from the existing bridge to the newly constructed bridge.
On March 17 at 7 a.m., weather permitting, crews will close Ligon Mill Road from Woodrose Lane to Burlington Mills Road for 21 days.
During the closure, message boards will be placed along Burlington Mills Road, Capital Boulevard, and Ligon Mill Road. The detour will be South Main Street, Capital Boulevard and Burlington Mills Road.
Drivers should allow extra time for their commute and use caution when traveling near the work zone.
