WASHINGTON – The North Carolina Ferry Division is looking for seasonal and permanent employees to prepare for its busy summer season.
All job seekers are welcome to attend a career fair Feb. 26 in Washington to learn about and apply for a new and rewarding career with the Ferry System.
The career fair, hosted by the Ferry Division and Beaufort Community College, will be from 10 a.m.- 3 p.m. on the campus of Beaufort Community College at 5337 U.S. 264 East in Washington.
Applications will be accepted for all positions at all experience levels, including entry-level parking lot attendants (general utility workers), office staff, maintenance tradespeople and credentialed vessel crew. Temporary and full-time permanent positions are available.

Those interested in attending the job fair should bring resumes, references and supporting documents to assist in completing the state application. The Washington career fair is the fifth of seven to be held across eastern North Carolina through March. Previous job fairs were held in Ocracoke Jan. 31, in Morehead City Feb. 5, in Manteo Feb. 12, and in Southport Feb. 21. Another job fair will be held in Morehead City March 19 and yet another is being planned for Hatteras.
