WAKE FOREST – Contractors for the N.C. Department of Transportation will temporarily close a section of Jenkins Road to complete drainage improvements.
The closure at Wexford Woods Lane and Sephora Court will begin Feb. 17 at 2 p.m. and is expected to last until the evening of Feb. 21, weather permitting.
During this time, Jenkins Road will not be accessible from Wexford Woods Lane. Motorists should use Trifle Lane and Melcombe Way as an alternate route. Access to eastbound Jenkins Road will be will maintained for Sephora Court.
Detour signs will be in place along Capital Boulevard, Purnell Road, and Thompson Mill Road to guide drivers through the area.
NCDOT urges drivers to plan for delays, follow posted detours, and use caution when traveling near the work zone.
