NEW BERN - The N.C. Department of Transportation will convert a two-way stop to an all-way stop at a Craven County intersection next week due to safety concerns.
Beginning Feb. 18, an all-way stop will be in place on Old U.S. 70 Highway at the intersection of Tuscarora Rhems Road and Dry Monia Road.
Previously, vehicles driving on Old U.S. 70 did not have to stop.
Message boards were placed at the intersection earlier this month alerting drivers of the upcoming traffic shift.
