GREENVILLE - The N.C. Department of Transportation will close the western portion of Worthington Road at the intersection of Corey Road this weekend, weather permitting.
Beginning at 6 a.m. Feb. 8 through 6 p.m. Feb. 9, crews will close the stretch of roadway for drainage crossline installation related to roundabout construction.
Worthington Road will be detoured onto Old Tar Road, to Laurie Ellis Road, to Jack Jones Road, and County Home Road.
The intersection of Corey Road and Worthington Road will remain open as the work will only affect the western leg of the intersection.
Motorists should use caution when approaching the work zone and utilize DriveNC.gov for real-time traffic information.
