RURAL HALL – Contract crews for the N.C. Department of Transportation will close a portion of Shore Road for a week to conduct roadway improvements.
Weather permitting, Monday morning shore road will close in front of Love's Travel Center. The road is expected to reopen on April 15. During the closure, Shore Road will be open from Griffin Road to the U.S. 52 interchange.
A signed detour will guide drivers from Shore Road to Bethania-Rural Hall Road to U.S. 52 to Shore Road.
Drivers are urged to slow down near the work site and use caution.
