DENTON– The N.C. Department of Transportation will temporarily close two roads in Davidson County next week to facilitate pipe placements, weather permitting.
Beginning at 8 a.m. on Monday morning,
Farmer Road and
North Main Street will be closed. The closures are anticipated to last three days, with both roads scheduled to fully reopen by 5 p.m. on Friday. The temporary closures are necessary for crews to replace the storm pipes located beneath the roadway.
During the closure period, signed detours will be in place for both affected roads. Drivers on
Farmer Road will be directed to follow N.C. 109 and Toms Creek Church Road. For drivers traveling on
North Main Street, the detour route will guide traffic via N.C. 109 and East Salisbury Street.
Drivers are advised to plan alternate routes in advance and adhere to all posted detour signs during the road closures.
