WINTERVILLE – A Pitt County intersection will be closed to traffic this weekend for work associated with the construction of a roundabout.
The intersection of Worthington and Corey roads will close at 9 p.m. Dec. 6 and reopen by 6 p.m. Dec. 8. During the closure, crews will install utility crosslines.
Worthington Road traffic will detour onto Old Tar, Laurie Ellis, Jack Jones, and County Home roads. Corey Road traffic will use Firetower Road to County Home Road as a detour.
Drivers should plan their commute as it may take longer than normal and use caution when traveling near the work site.
