WINSTON-SALEM – Overnight closures are set to begin this weekend at an interchange along U.S. 421 (Salem Parkway).
From 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday through Thursday nights, contract crews plan to close northbound Salem Parkway and both its ramps at the N.C. 67/Silas Creek Parkway interchange so they can safely work underneath the Silas Creek Parkway bridge.
During these times, drivers on U.S. 421 North will be detoured to follow N.C. 67 West (Exit 237A) and use the Country Club Road exits to return to U.S. 421 North or access N.C. 67 East. Traffic on N.C. 67 West will follow this same detour to access U.S. 421 North.
The work each night is weather dependent and subject to change.
Drivers should anticipate the detours and factor them into their commutes and be mindful of the crews working in this area.
