GREENSBORO – A section of Rehobeth Church Road will be closed this weekend for preparations related to the ongoing bridge replacement project.
Starting at 8 p.m. tomorrow, Rehobeth Church Rd at U.S. 29 will be closed until 6 a.m. on Monday. Drivers will be detoured via Vandalia Road to Creek Ridge Road, back to Rehobeth Church Road.
Additionally, the ramps from U.S. 29 north and south will also be closed, with signed detours in place:
- U.S. 29 North Detour: Exit ramp to Randleman Road, then Randleman Road to Creek Ridge Road to Vandalia Road back to Rehobeth Church Road.
- U.S. 29 South Detour: Exit ramp to Holden Road, then Holden Road to Pinecroft Road to Vandalia Road to Creek Ridge Road back to Rehobeth Church Road.
The ramps from Rehobeth Church Road to U.S. 29 will be closed as well, with detours for accessing U.S. 29:
- Access to U.S. 29 South: Creek Ridge Road to U.S. 220 South to U.S. 29 South.
- Access to U.S. 29 North: Creek Ridge Road to U.S. 220 North to U.S. 40 East.
These closures are essential for paving operations related to the bridge replacement. A traffic shift to the partially completed bridge is expected after the work is finished.
