RALEIGH – Contractors for the N.C. Department of Transportation will close the Melbourne Road on-ramp to Interstate 440 East for nine days to construct a new entrance ramp at the interchange.
The ramp will close starting at 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15 and is scheduled to reopen at 5 a.m. Monday, Nov. 25.
During the closure, traffic will be detoured via Western Boulevard and Powell Road to access I-440.
Drivers should prepare for some delays, remain alert and obey all posted signs.
