SOUTHPORT – Traffic patterns in several areas of Brunswick County will resume their normal patterns after a storm last month washed out multiple sections of N.C. 211.
The N.C. 211 bridge at Dutchman’s Creek is scheduled to reopen to traffic the afternoon of Oct. 18, weeks ahead of schedule.
Contract crews have constructed a temporary bridge consisting of four large pipe culverts until a permanent bridge, which will be part of the N.C. 211 widening project, is complete.
The N.C. 211 bridge over the canal opened to traffic on Oct. 10.
When the highway reopens, traffic at N.C. 133 and N.C. 87, as well Jabbertown Road, will also return to their normal traffic patterns.
