FARMVILLE - An intersection will be transformed into an all-way stop this week to improve safety.
The N.C. Department of Transportation will install stop signs and pavement markings on May Boulevard at the intersection with Sharon Lane/Cooperative Way on Oct. 1. Currently, drivers on May Boulevard do not stop.
Drivers should be alert to crews working in the area and the new changes at the intersection.
After a safety review, which included examination of traffic volumes and crash patterns, NCDOT determined an all-way stop was the most cost-effective way to improve safety. To learn more about an all-way stop, visit this webpage.
