GREENVILLE – A section of Dickinson Avenue in Greenville is scheduled to reopen to traffic, while construction on another section is set to begin.
The portion of roadway between Ficklen Street and Atlantic Avenue, called Section 6 by contractors, opened to the public Tuesday afternoon.
Dickinson Avenue between Atlantic Avenue and 14th Street, known as Section 5, is scheduled to close Sept. 9. Businesses in this area will remain open during construction which is expected to last up to seven months.
N.C. Department of Transportation contract crews will post signs alerting vehicles and pedestrians of the construction. All should remain alert and patient during this time.
