WINSTON SALEM– An N.C. Department of Transportation contractor will close a portion of Sedge Garden Road in Forsyth County this weekend as part of work for the Winston Salem Northern Beltway project, weather permitting.
The portion of Sedge Garden Road to be closed is located between Old Winston Road and Kernersville Road. The closure will begin at 7 p.m. Friday night and continue through 8 p.m. Sunday.
The closure is necessary for crews to safely remove the existing asphalt pavement and place new pavement for the Sedge Garden Road and Kernersville Road intersection.
During the closure period, traffic will be detoured along Old Winston Road, Weavil Road, and Kernersville Road.
Drivers should use caution while traveling through the work zone and plan accordingly for delays.
