ZEBULON – Contractors for the N.C. Department of Transportation will install an all-way stop to a local intersection.
Starting tomorrow morning, weather permitting, crews will convert the intersection at Lizard Lick Road and Riley Hill Road into an all-way stop. New signs and pavement marking will be added to Riley Hill Road.
All-way stops are shown to improve safety by reducing fatal and injury crashes by 77 percent.
Transportation officials remind drivers to remain alert, slow down and obey all posted traffic signs in work zones.
