WARSAW - The N.C. Department of Transportation will improve safety at a Duplin County intersection this week by making it an all-way stop.
Tomorrow, the intersection of Bowdens and Revelle roads will be transformed into an all-way stop. Currently, drivers on Bowdens Road do not have to stop, so NCDOT will install signs and pavement markings.
Drivers should be aware of crews and equipment at the intersection while the improvements are made.
The new traffic pattern was chosen after a safety review, which includes traffic volumes and crash patterns. An all-way stop was determined to be the most cost-effective way to improve safety. To learn more about all-way stops, visit this NCDOT webpage.
