TEACHEY – A section of Providence Church Road will close for the next several months for construction of a new bridge.
Beginning July 8, the roadway that crosses Rock Fish Creek will close to traffic. The structure, built in 1972, will be replaced with a new one that meets today’s standards.
During construction, traffic will be detoured onto N.C. 41, Chicken Neck Road and Old Camp Road. The bridge is anticipated to open to the public in spring 2025.
Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead as their commute will take longer than normal and be cautious when traveling near the site.
