AYDEN - To improve safety, the N.C. Department of Transportation will transform a Pitt County intersection into an all-way stop.
NCDOT is realigning N.C. 903 at the intersection with Pocosin and Red Forbes roads. This work is in preparation for the stop signs and pavement markings that will be installed on N.C. 903 on June 21.
Currently, drivers on Pocosin and Red Forbes roads stop for traffic. As of Friday, all drivers at the intersection will stop.
Drivers are urged to slow down while crews are working and be aware of the new traffic pattern.
