LIBERTY - Contract crews for the N.C. Department of Transportation will temporarily close the Julian Airport Road exit from U.S. 421 northbound next week.
Beginning June 4, crews from Ames Construction will perform the closure as work continues to advance construction on the new interchange on U.S. 421.
A signed, on-site detour for motorists is as follows:
- U.S. 421 northbound to N.C. 62
- N.C. 62 to Old U.S. 421
- Old U.S. 421 to Julian Airport Road
Additions to the new interchange are scheduled to be completed in the coming weeks with updates to follow.
