MORRISVILLE – Bridge work will require crews to close lanes on Interstate 40 overnight this week and next week as part of the Airport Boulevard interchange improvements project.
Weather permitting, a contractor for the N.C. Department of Transportation plans to close lanes of I-40 East at Airport Boulevard between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. through Friday.
Crews will then close lanes of I-40 West at Airport Boulevard next Monday through Thursday nights, between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m.
NCDOT officials urge drivers to factor these construction activities into their trip and remain alert throughout the work zone.
