HILLSBOROUGH−Overnight closures are scheduled to start tomorrow night as part of ongoing work for the I-40 Widening Project.
Weather permitting, from 10 p.m.─ 5 a.m. Old N.C. 86 at I-40 will be closed for bridge demolition work. The closure will be in place nightly Sunday through Friday until March 30.
A signed detour will direct traffic around the closure utilizing Waterstone Drive, N.C. 86, and New Hope Church Road.
NCDOT officials urge drivers to factor these construction activities into their trip and remain alert throughout the work zone.
