SILER CITY - A contractor for the N.C. Department of Transportation will perform lane closures on U.S. 421 beginning next week between Carter Brooks Road and U.S. 64.
Beginning Feb. 19, crews from Boggs Contracting will alternate between the north and south bound lanes, resurfacing the route one lane at a time.
The daily closures, Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., will be continuous until the project’s completion in early June, weather permitting.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and use caution when approaching the work zone.
