RALEIGH- A bridge closure and various lane closures are scheduled for this weekend as crews work on final pavement markings for the Interstate 40 project from Raleigh to Clayton.
Crew plan to close the flyover bridge from I-440 East to I-40 East this Saturday from 7 a.m.-noon. Traffic will detour by continuing straight to Rock Quarry Road (Exit 300A) to return to I-40 East. Detour signs will be in place.
Lane closures are also expected in both directions of I-40 between east of Jones Sausage Road and east of U.S. 70 Business anytime from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday.
Drivers should allow extra time for the bridge closure detour and be mindful of crews working directly alongside the open travel lanes during these times.
