Wake County- A pair of exits are scheduled to close this weekend for paving work as part of the Interstate 40 improvements project from Southeast Raleigh to Clayton.
The ramp from I-40 West to U.S. 70 Business is set to close 6 a.m. Saturday through 5 a.m. Sunday. Drivers will stay on I-40 West to Jones Sausage Road and then come back east on I-40 as a detour.
Additionally, crews plan to close the ramp from I-440 East onto I-40 East (Exit 16) from 8 a.m. Sunday through 5 a.m. Monday. The detour for this closure will send traffic to Rock Quarry Road (Exit 300A) to access I-40 East.
