STATESVILLE – The N.C. Department of Transportation will temporarily close a lane on Interstate 40 West near Old Mountain Road (exit 144) on Wednesday, Oct. 18, weather permitting.
The right lane will be closed from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. while contract crews install a new camera to monitor travel conditions.
Drivers should reduce speed and use caution in the area.
