RALEIGH – The N.C. Department of Transportation awarded a $6.7 million contract this summer to American Contracting Services INC. of Jeffersonville, I.N. to update several bridges.
Three bridges are in Wake County and one in Durham County. The Wake County bridges are Rogers Lane over Interstate 87/Crabtree Creek, N.C. 98 over U.S. 1/Capital Boulevard and N.C. 98 over Richland Creek.
The Durham County bridge is on Fayetteville Road over I-40.
Some of the updates include:
- Deck surface repair
- Concrete barrier rail repair
- Painting
- Milling and repaving bridge approaches
Construction can begin as early as this month and is scheduled to wrap up in 2025.
