LIBERTY - A contractor for the N.C. Department of Transportation will perform nightly closures of the southbound lanes of U.S. 421 next week in Randolph County, weather permitting.
From 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. from Sept. 25 to Sept. 28, crews from Ames Construction plan to close U.S. 421 South as part of ongoing interchange work.
A signed detour to Shiloh Road will be in place during the southbound closure.
Lane closures with no detour will be in place during the same timeframe for the following dates:
Motorists are encouraged to slow down and use caution when approaching the work zone and detour.
