WINSTON-SALEM – An N.C. Department of Transportation contractor will implement overnight lane and ramp closures on Interstate 40 West in Forsyth County Sunday and Monday night for an ongoing rehabilitation and bridge preservation project, weather permitting.
The following closures will take place from 8 p.m. – 5 a.m. the following morning:
- Sunday, two of three lanes will close from Peters Creek Parkway to Hanes Mall Boulevard.
- Monday, two of three lanes will close from east of Hanes Mall Boulevard to Stratford Road.
The following closures will take place from 10 p.m. – 6 a.m. the following morning:
- Sunday, the onramp from Peters Creek Parkway to I-40 West will be closed with a detour.
- Monday, the offramp from I-40 West to Stratford Road will be closed with a detour.
- Monday, the onramp from Stratford Road to I-40 West will be closed with a detour.
Motorists should use caution while traveling through the work zones and plan accordingly for delays.
