WINSTON-SALEM - Several Forsyth County roads will be permanently closed next week as part of the Winston-Salem Northern Beltway construction.
The following closures will take place beginning Tuesday, June 20:
- Oak Grove Church Road from south of Oak Tree Drive to Meredith Drive;
- Meredith Drive between Oak Grove Church Road and Meredith Way;
- Meredith Way from Meredith Drive to north of Monica Court.
These closures are necessary for the construction of the new I-40/I-74 interchange.
With the closure of these three roadway sections, the remaining portion of Oak Grove Church Road will be disconnected from Meredith Way.
Motorists will take Oak Garden Drive to Embark Drive to access Meredith Way. Meredith Way and Marla Court will both be accessible via the new roadway connection from Embark Drive, which will open prior to the road closures.
Drivers should slow down while adjusting to new traffic patterns.
