Creedmoor Road Among Several to be Resurfaced

RALEIGH – Thanks to a new contract, a section of N.C. 50 and three sections of secondary roads will be resurfaced.

About 10 miles of N.C. 50, which is Creedmoor Road, will be resurfaced between U.S. 70 (Glenwood Avenue) and north of Interstate 540. Secondary routes to be improved include Jeffreys Grove School and Ponderosa roads, and the portion of Mt. Herman Road south of ACC Boulevard.

The N.C. Department of Transportation recently awarded the $4.1 million contract to Blythe Construction of Charlotte.

The contractor can begin work as early as July and is expected to be complete by the fall of 2024.
