WINSTON-SALEM – An N.C. Department of Transportation contractor will close lanes and a ramp along Interstate 40 in Forsyth County over the next three nights for an ongoing rehabilitation and bridge preservation project, weather permitting.
The following closures are scheduled from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning:
- Tonight, one of two lanes will close on I-40 East from N.C. 109 to High Point Road.
- Tonight, one of two lanes will close on I-40 West from east of High Point Road to N.C. 109.
- Wednesday, two of three lanes will close on I-40 West from U.S. 52 to Peters Creek Parkway.
- Thursday, two of three lanes will close on I-40 West from east of Hanes Mall Boulevard to west of Stratford Road.
On Thursday from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., the offramp from I-40 West to Stratford Road will also be closed with a detour.
Motorists should use caution while traveling through the work zones and plan accordingly for delays.
