WINSTON-SALEM – An N.C. Department of Transportation contractor will close sections of Interstate 40 in Forsyth County tonight and tomorrow for an ongoing rehabilitation and bridge preservation project, weather permitting.
The following lane closures are scheduled to take place between 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning:
- Tonight, one of two lanes will close on I-40 West from the Guilford County Line to Union Cross Road.
- Tonight, one of two lanes will close on I-40 East from Union Cross Road to N.C. 66.
- Thursday night, one of two lanes will close on I-40 East from Union Cross Road to the Guilford County Line.
Motorists should use caution while traveling through the work zones and plan accordingly for delays.
