KINGS MOUNTAIN – Drivers may encounter delays this week on Interstate 85 in both directions near Dixon School Road (exit 5) in Kings Mountain while crews perform work to the bridge over the roadway.
Tonight, the southbound lanes will be closed from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Wednesday. Drivers will be detoured to the Dixon School Road exit ramp to go over I-85, taking the entrance ramp back to I-85 South.
The closure will be in place for I-85 North on Wednesday and Thursday nights, taking drivers up and over the interstate using the exit and entrance ramps.
Motorists are advised to use caution and remain alert in work zones.
