WINSTON SALEM –An N.C. Department of Transportation contractor will implement overnight lane closures tonight on Interstate 40 in Forsyth County for an ongoing rehabilitation and bridge preservation project, weather permitting.
The following closure will take place from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning:
- Two of three lanes will close on I-40 at mile marker 196 (approaching the U.S. 311/ I-74 exit)
The following closure will take place from 11:30 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. the following morning:
- Two of three lanes will close on I-40 west at mile marker 190 (approaching Hanes Mill Boulevard)
Motorists should use caution while traveling through the work zones and plan accordingly for delays.
