WINSTON-SALEM – N.C. Department of Transportation contractors will close multiple lanes along Interstate 40 for the pavement rehabilitation and bridge preservation project in Forsyth County.
These closures will take place from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, weather permitting:
- Tonight, two of three lanes are scheduled to be closed on I-40 West from east of Peters Creek Parkway to west of Stratford Road.
- Tonight, one of two lanes is scheduled to be closed on the Exit 238 offramp from U.S. 421 South to I-40 East. In conjunction with the lane closure, the exit loop onto I-40 East from the connector ramp between U.S. 421 North and I-40 West will be closed with a detour.
- Dec. 4-5, two of three lanes are scheduled to be closed on I-40 East from the U.S. 421/I-40 split to east of Peters Creek Parkway.
- Dec. 4, one of two lanes are scheduled to be closed on I-40 West from High Point Road to west of I-74.
Motorists should remain alert and use caution while traveling through the work zones.
