WINSTON-SALEM – An N.C. Department of Transportation contractor will close part of Peters Creek Parkway (N.C. 150) for several nights for a bridge replacement project.
Beginning tonight, Peters Creek Parkway will be closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. between Hutton Street to Silas Creek Parkway. The closure is necessary to allow crews to safely demolish the bridge on Salisbury Ridge Road over Peters Creek Parkway. The bridge has been deemed structurally deficient and will be replaced with a new bridge.
Work is expected to be complete by Dec. 16.
A signed detour using Link Road, Lockland Avenue, Silas Creek Parkway (N.C. 67), Buchanan Street and Salisbury Ridge Road will be in place while work is being performed.
Motorists are reminded to remain alert when approaching the work zone and while using detours.
