WINSTON-SALEM – Following the weekend of inclement weather, N.C. Department of Transportation contractors will resume maintenance and construction along Interstate 40 in Forsyth County beginning next week, weather permitting.
From Oct. 3-4, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, one of two lanes will be closed on I-40 West from the Guilford County line to Union Cross Road.
Lane closures are also scheduled from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning in both directions on bridges that carry traffic over I-40. The closures include the following:
- Oct. 4, one of two lanes will be closed on N.C. 66 and Union Cross Road.
- Oct. 5, two of three lanes will be closed on Peters Creek Parkway.
- Oct. 5, one of two lanes will be closed on Stratford Road.
Motorists should use caution while traveling through the work zones and plan accordingly for delays.
