WINSTON-SALEM – Starting this weekend, N.C. Department of Transportation contractors will be implementing overnight lane closures on Interstate 40 for ongoing construction and maintenance projects, weather permitting.
From Aug. 28-29, two of three lanes are scheduled to be closed on I-40 East from west of Stratford Road to Peters Creek Parkway.
On Aug. 29, one of two lanes are scheduled to be closed on the Stratford Road bridge over I-40 in both directions from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning.
On Aug. 29, the exit ramp from I-40 East to Stratford Road is scheduled to be closed from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning with a detour route.
Motorists should use caution while traveling through the work zone and plan accordingly for delays.
