DURHAM – Starting tonight, an N.C. Department of Transportation contractor will implement lane closures on I-40 East for ongoing construction and maintenance projects, weather permitting.
Tonight, the right lane of I-40 East will close between mile marker 268 and exit 270 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Thursday night, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., the left lane of I-40 East will close at the same location.
Motorists should remain alert, drive cautiously and slow down as they travel near the work zone.
