RALEIGH – Contract crews plan to close a ramp from Interstate 40 to I-440 this weekend as part of ongoing work on the I-40 improvements project in southeast Raleigh.
The ramp from I-40 West to I-440 West (Exit 301) is set to close from 11 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. The closure will allow the contractor to safely complete the reconstruction of this ramp.
A detour will be in place during the closure, directing traffic to stay on I-40 West and take Rock Quarry Road Exit 300A to get back on I-40 East and access I-440 West.
Drivers should anticipate the temporary traffic pattern and be mindful of crews working near the travel lanes in this area.
