KING – An N.C. Department of Transportation contractor plans to close lanes of U.S. 52 starting next weekend for a road construction project.
Starting at 9 a.m. on April 1, the right lane of U.S. 52 South will be closed between mile markers 125 and 123. At 7 p.m. on April 1, the contractor will close the right lane of U.S. 52 North in the same area. Both closures will be in place until April 4 and are necessary for crews to safely replace the Meadowbrook Drive bridge over the highway.
Motorists are advised to slow down and use extra caution while traveling through the area.
